I chose the template as shown for a number of reasons. For one I really like that it provides ample amount of room for good imagery and word play. I have found while previously blogging and weeding through templates that the most effective blogs have these two characteristics to bring in an audience.
Providing a good visual will be the one of the first reasons a reader/customer clicks on your post if they aren't specifically looking for your product/company. I have found by using imagery to draw in an audience with specific niche posts can be very effective in not only reaching a variety of viewers but a specifically targeted audience.
After the reader have welcomed your posts through imagery it is up to the writer to provide entertaining and information verbiage to keep the reader interested as well as coming back. Better to be short and sweet than long and wordy, this isn't a info ad, this is a blog. Used for great visuals and to be informative to the all readers.
